Cooking and eating good food has at all times been one of the most vital lessons to teach our kids. Banana and avocado yoghurt
This is a rapid recipe that needs no cooking – and it is astoundingly popular with babies too. Acquire ½ ripe banana, peeled and sliced, ½ small avocado, peeled and sliced and 4 tbsp full fat natural yoghurt. Now mash the banana and avocado mutually with a fork or puree in a blender until soft. Blend in the yoghurt thoroughly.
Fruit Salad Puree
Ingredients: Take1 nectarine, 1 dessert apple, 1 ripe pear and 25g/1 oz fresh or frozen raspberries or strawberries.
Methods: Slash a nectarine or peach if half, discarding the stone, peel and chop. Peel, quarter and core the apple and pear and slice sparsely. Put the equipped fruits, the hulled raspberries and strawberries and 15ml/1 tbsp water in a saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until the fruit is squashy. Press the blend through a sieve or process and the sieve to eliminate the berry pips – discard pips.
Chicken with sweet potato and red pepper
Ingredients: Acquire ½ small chicken breast, diced, 100ml water, ½ medium sweet potato, peeled and sliced and ½ red pepper, sliced. Methods: Boil water and append chicken and vegetables. Cover and seethe for as a minimum 15 minutes or until chicken and vegetables are cooked. Puree the blend until smooth. Add cooled water to thin, if required.
